About Early Bird Therapy

Early Bird Therapy provides practical, neurodiversity-affirming support for children and families in the early years, typically from infancy through to primary school age.

Our focus is on helping children build the skills they need to participate in everyday life: at home, in childcare or school, and in the community.

Our Approach

We recognise and respect that children think, communicate, and engage with the world in different ways. Rather than focusing on changing a child, we focus on building skills, supporting regulation, and reducing barriers to participation.

Therapy is tailored to each child’s strengths, interests, and goals, and designed to feel practical, flexible, and meaningful in everyday life. We work collaboratively as a team to provide consistent support, and aim for therapy to be useful beyond individual sessions.

We prioritise what is genuinely helpful for each child and family, and aim to offer a service that feels straightforward to engage with. Decisions are guided by a combination of current evidence, family preference, clinical experience, and what works in practice.

Our Standards

We strive to uphold the highest standards for our families. Early Bird Therapy is a registered NDIS provider delivering therapeutic supports, early childhood supports, positive behaviour support, and communication equipment.

Our clinicians are registered with their relevant professional bodies and are registered Medicare providers where applicable. Our therapy assistants are all studying at university to become therapists, and work under the guidance of qualified therapists.

All team members hold Working with Vulnerable People checks and maintain training in child protection, first aid, culturally responsive practice, and neurodiversity-affirming care.
