Work with Us

Why Early Bird?

Early Bird Therapy grew out of a desire to create the kind of workplace and service that many of us wished existed.

After working in larger organisations, we wanted to build a small multidisciplinary practice where people genuinely work together. A place where children and families don't have to tell their story over and over again to different professionals, and where staff feel valued and accepted for who they are.

That's exactly what we're still doing today.

What Matters to Us

People Before Profit

This isn't just something we put on a website.

We're a small business and we need to be financially sustainable, but we don't believe that everything should revolve around billable hours and productivity targets. The wellbeing of our clients, families, and staff will always come first.

We Work As A Team

Our speech pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, behaviour support practitioners, therapy assistants, and administration team work closely together. If you're stuck, you won't be left to figure it out alone.

Build A Caseload That Matches Your Interests

Not every clinician wants the same career. Some people love AAC. Others love feeding, assessments, emotional regulation, toileting, parent coaching, or clinical supervision. We shape roles around clinicians' interests and strengths rather than expecting everyone to do exactly the same thing.

Work-Life Balance Matters

The allied health sector has a reputation for burnout. We're not interested in creating that kind of workplace. We want our team to enjoy coming to work, provide high-quality support to families, and still have enough energy left for the rest of their lives.

Clinical Support and Professional Development

Whether you're a new graduate or an experienced clinician, you'll have access to supervision, mentoring, professional development opportunities, and support from an experienced multidisciplinary team. We provide a generous professional development budget, regular supervision, and paid professional development days so that learning can continue throughout your career.

What Our Team Says

"I love working in a multidisciplinary team. Everyone is so open to chatting and talking through client goals, so you can always find creative ways to tackle challenges and lean on each other if you're feeling stuck."

"The flexibility and support, especially as a new practitioner, is unmatched."

"I love getting to work as a team with therapists who are great at what they do and are passionate about supporting the kids and families we work with."

"Overworked and under-resourced is the norm in the therapy world. At Early Bird, we get to have the time and energy to be the best therapists we can be."

Interested in Joining Our Team?

We're currently well staffed across most disciplines. However, amazing clinicians are hard to find, and we're always interested in meeting people who share our values and approach.
